No Scottish stage for this years event, but organisers say they'll return north of the border for 2015
Scotland has missed out on hosting a Tour of Britain stage for the first time in 4 years.
The Scottish Borders has frequently held a stage of the race, last year cyclists raced from Peebles to Dumfries.
The country has only been omitted in 2004 and 2010.
Organisers say then plan to return the iconic cycling event to Scotland for 2015.
